Role Overview

A growing East Texas architecture firm is hiring an Architectural Project Manager to take projects from concept through completion. The firm designs healthy, inspiring environments for commercial and residential clients, and this is an AutoCAD-heavy seat: you'll produce full construction document sets yourself, then carry those projects through permitting, bidding, and construction administration. There's also scope to coordinate the work of assistant PMs and drafters, and to build client relationships as the firm grows — including commission on any work you bring in.

What You'll Do

• Generate and manage architectural projects from concept through construction
• Produce detailed construction drawings in AutoCAD
• Lead projects through permitting and bidding, interfacing directly with city officials
• Support construction administration, including RFIs and resolution of field issues
• Coordinate with and review the work of assistant project managers and drafters
• Communicate directly with clients and manage expectations throughout the project
• Track project schedules and basic budgets

What We're Looking For

Essential

• 3–5 years' architectural project management experience
• Strong AutoCAD proficiency, with the ability to independently produce complete construction document sets
• Hands-on experience with permitting, bidding, and construction administration
• Strong organisational and communication skills

Preferred

• Professional degree in Architecture or a related field
• Architectural licensure, or currently on a licensure track
• Experience supervising or mentoring drafters or assistant project managers
• Interest in helping grow a small firm, building client relationships, and bringing in new business
