Candidate terms

These terms govern the relationship between NextForce and individual candidates whom we represent to client organisations. They are written in plain language and are intended to be fair to you. If anything here is unclear, email hello@nextforce.works and we will walk you through it.

Effective 1 January 2026

1. No fees to candidates

NextForce will not, under any circumstances, charge a fee to any candidate. Every service we provide to candidates — representation, interview prep, calibration, feedback, network membership — is free. Our fees are paid exclusively by client organisations.

2. Representation authorisation

By engaging with us about a specific role, you authorise NextForce to represent you for that role on the terms set out below. Our representation is per-role: engaging with us about one role does not give us permission to pitch you for any other role without your explicit consent.

We will not share your CV, contact details, current employer, or identifying information with any client organisation without your explicit per-role consent. You may withdraw from any process at any time, and we will notify the client on your behalf without comment or pressure.

3. Confidentiality and discretion

If you are exploring the market quietly, we run confidential searches as standard. We will not contact your current employer, share your identity with anyone we are not actively pitching you to, or disclose your participation in any search without your permission.

4. Honest representation

We commit to the following standards when representing you:

  • The CV a client sees is the CV you approved. We do not edit, embellish, or “repackage” your CV without your review and consent.
  • The story we tell about you is the story you would tell about yourself. We will not overstate your responsibilities, experience, or current compensation to make a shortlist stronger.
  • We will only submit you for roles that are genuinely aligned with what you told us you are optimising for.

5. Data handling

We handle your personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy. Key points:

  • We hold your data for a default retention period of twenty-four (24) months from your last active engagement with us.
  • You can request a copy of the data we hold on you, or request deletion, at any time by emailing hello@nextforce.works.
  • We do not sell your data to any third party. Ever.
  • We share your details with client organisations only with your explicit per-role consent.

6. Withdrawal

You may withdraw from any active search at any time, for any reason, without explanation. You may also ask to be removed from the NextForce network entirely; we will action the request within five (5) business days and confirm in writing.

7. Feedback and process

We commit to giving you a response on every submission, including when the answer is no. We commit to closing the loop on every interview you sit, including debriefs where we have meaningful information to share. We do not ghost candidates, and if we ever do, please email hello@nextforce.works directly and we will own it.

8. No guarantee of placement

Representation by NextForce is not a guarantee of interview, offer, or placement. Hiring decisions sit with the client organisation. What we guarantee is honest process on our side — not a specific outcome.

9. Contact

If anything in these terms is unclear, or if you have any concern about how you have been represented, email hello@nextforce.works or careers@nextforce.works. We take candidate feedback seriously.
